In the beginning of the 2023-2024 season, Alex began studying at the New York Youth Symphony under Music Director Andrew Kim, and Assistant Conductor Adrian Rodgers. Through that program, he has had the chance to participate in Lab Orchestra sessions, and shorter sessions with the Full New York Youth Symphony Orchestra. During these sessions, he's had the chance to conduct excerpts from; Sibelius' Second Symphony, Elgar's Enigma Variations, Berlioz's Symphonie Fantastique, Strauss' Tod und Verklärung, Brahms' Fourth Symphony, Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony, and Barber's First Symphony. He has also had the chance to participate in multiple Student Composer readings, including a culminating concert at the end of each season. He also had the opportunity to serve as the Assistant Conductor to the ISO Symphony Orchestra at Third Street Music School, stepping in for various rehearsals, and having the chance to conduct Mozart's Second Flute Concerto in their annual Concerto Concert.
